Good Morning,

“O Lamb of God I come! I come!”

Just as I am

“Jesus I come to Thee”

Jesus I come

“Calling O sinner come home!”

Softly and Tenderly

If you were in church yesterday you heard it again. It’s about coming home, coming back, coming to your senses, coming to the end of yourself, coming to Jesus. You would think it to be a simple proposition. You have wandered away, away from the Shepherd, away from the safety of His flock. The grass over there is so good; it looks even greener a little farther off. While you’re tasting the new grass, the different grass, you don’t even notice the cool breezes at first. In not so long those breezes strengthen into a wind that carries you yet farther away. Almost without realizing it, now you have “wandered” so far that you can barely hear His call. Or did you really wander? There were times when upon hearing His voice, you turned back to look, but did not alter your steps. And now, here you are, away from home, away from safety. Was that His voice you heard or just another siren of this world with another empty promise? How can you tell? It’s been so long since you’ve been sure about such things.

Be sure of this, if you hear a Voice, not just in your head but in your heart, and that Voice is calling you home, back to a loving Father, then it is Jesus. Come home! There is no better time to come home than Christmas. And once you come home, resolve to stay there, or as we’re fond of saying, stay all in with Him.
